Notes from the Studio: Why I Designed This Misto Lino Set
Some pieces start with a sketch. Others start with a fabric.
When I first touched this misto lino, a blend of linen and viscose, I immediately felt that it had the exact balance I was looking for: natural, but not too rustic; soft, but not weak; elegant, but still easy to wear.

I love linen, but sometimes pure linen can feel too stiff or too casual for the kind of woman I design for. I wanted something that still had the honesty and texture of linen, but with a more fluid movement. The viscose gives it that softness. It allows the skirt to fall beautifully and gives the blouse a relaxed, effortless shape.
The idea behind this outfit was simple:
to create something that feels dressed, but not forced.

I wanted the blouse to have ease. A soft sleeve, a clean collar, a slightly oversized feeling. Nothing too tight, nothing too complicated. But I also wanted the waist to be defined, because for me that is where the strength of the silhouette begins.
The skirt was the most important part. I wanted volume, but controlled volume. Pleats that move, but do not overwhelm the body. A length that feels elegant for the city, for summer dinners, for work, for travel — the kind of piece a woman can wear many times and still feel special in.
When we started sketching it, I kept coming back to the same words:
quiet, feminine, intelligent.
That is the feeling I wanted.
Not an outfit that screams for attention.
Not something overly decorated.
Just a beautiful fabric, a strong shape, and a woman wearing it with confidence.
We made it in three colors because each one gives the outfit a different mood. The taupe feels soft and architectural. The navy feels more formal and urban. The olive green feels grounded, calm, and strong.

For me, this is the kind of piece that represents what I want Simovska to become: clothing that is beautiful, but also thoughtful. Feminine, but not fragile. Elegant, but still real.
A piece for a woman who does not need to be loud to be remembered.
